MANILA, Philippines - Alaska finally took its first win in the ongoing PBA Fiesta Conference as the Aces clubbed slumping Purefoods, 94-84, Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.
Balik import Rosell Ellis, who replaced the ineffective Galen Young, took the mantle for the Aces with 26 points, 16 rebounds and five assists to lead them to their first win after starting the tournament with three straight losses.
The TJ Giants absorbed their second setback in a row, after hurdling their first two assignments.
